House painting in Boulder County & the Denver metro
Our own painting crew handles walls, ceilings, trim and doors, house exteriors, kitchen and bath cabinets, and deck staining. Book painting on its own or as part of a remodel. Either way, Alex and Sergei walk through it with you and price it line by line.
Painting with RSRT

- Painting-only jobs welcome
- Floors and furniture covered first
- Outside work timed for the right weather
- Free written line-item estimate
Inside, outside and the cabinets
Four kinds of painting work, inside and out.
Interior painting
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors. Nail holes and small cracks get filled first so they don't show through the new color.
Exterior painting
Siding, trim and doors on the outside of the house, scheduled for dry weather and the temperatures the paint maker calls for.
Cabinet painting
Kitchen and bathroom cabinets in a new color, for cabinets that are sound but look dated.
Kitchen remodelingDeck staining
New wood on a deck we just built, or an older deck that has faded and needs a fresh coat.
Deck building & repairMost of a paint job happens before the paint
A finish only looks as good as the surface under it, so prep gets real time on every job:
- Covering floors, furniture and fixtures, and masking whatever isn't getting paint
- Filling holes and cracks, then sanding the patches smooth
- Caulking gaps along the trim
- Priming bare wood, patches and stains where the paint needs it
- Cleaning and sanding cabinets so the new finish holds
Painting as part of a remodel
On a kitchen, bathroom or basement job, our crew paints once the drywall and trim are in, so there's no separate painter to find and schedule.
How we price painting
Each house is different, so we don't publish painting prices. After the walkthrough you get a written estimate with each part on its own line: the rooms, the exterior, the cabinets or the staining. The main things that move the number:
- Surface area. How many rooms, how high the ceilings are and how big the house is.
- Condition. Peeling paint and repairs mean more prep before any color goes on.
- Color changes. A big change from the old color can take more coats.
- Access. Stairwells, tall walls and second-story exteriors take more setup.
- Cabinets. The number of doors and drawers.
House painting questions
Do you take painting-only jobs?
Yes. You don't need a remodel to hire us. A few rooms, the whole interior, the outside of the house, the cabinets or a deck stain are all jobs we take on their own.
Who does the painting?
Our own painting crew. We don't hand it off to a subcontractor, and Alex and Sergei are the people you deal with from the estimate to the last walkthrough.
When can you paint the outside of my house?
When the weather allows. We plan exterior painting for dry days and for temperatures inside the range the paint maker sets for the product, so the paint cures the way it should. If rain or cold moves in, we move the day.
Can you paint my kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them?
Often, yes, if the boxes and doors are in good shape and you like the layout. We look at them at the walkthrough. If the layout is the real problem, a kitchen remodel may be the better use of the money.
Do you stain decks?
Yes. We stain new decks we build and older decks that have faded or worn. See deck building & repair if the deck itself needs work.
How much does house painting cost?
It depends on the surface area, the prep, the colors and the access, so we don't quote from a price list. You get a free written line-item estimate after the walkthrough, with each room or area priced on its own line.
